This fall I start a new series of 5 classes. The topic this time will be 'breathing'. The art of conscious breathing holds this amazing oppertunity to balance between the finite and the infinite. It is so obvious that one breath is extremely finite. It only has a life-span of seconds. Yet when we take the art of conscious breathing all the way to its full potential, it opens our awareness to the eternal consciousness that resides in the core of our being. Please join me in this profound journey that is both practical and mystical.


What is breathing?

Breathing is one of our most urgent primary needs. We can go without drinking for 3 to 4 days, without sleep for about 11 days, without food for about 3 weeks, but only 3 minutes without air. From the moment we come out of the birth canal it is our breath that that expresses our will to live and our instinct for survival. And we will keep our physical body living until the day we let go of our last breath of air. The person who lives to 80 will take about 672,768,000 breaths in a lifetime. And each single one of them is a precious flow or oxygen and life force.

Initiation

The Integral Presence approach takes breathing in a multidimensional sense, meaning that it addresses and kindles the whole spectrum of our human potential. We can not cover the complete range of this inner resource in one series, yet in 5 classes we address the essential elements as well as some techniques to enhance the quality of our breathing on different levels.
